The Barnes Concert Band are excited to present an eclectic programme featuring music from Holst’s Second Suite in F for Military Band, Theatre Music by Philip Sparke and the finale from Symphony No 3 by Saint-Saëns. The concert culminates in the rock and roll music from the legend that is Elvis Presley. Come and join us for what promises to be an entertaining afternoon and please stay for tea and cake with the Band after the concert.
The Barnes Concert Band brings together over 40 wind, brass and percussion players to perform contemporary wind band repertoire, music from shows and films and a selection of classics. Formed in the early 1970s, the Band takes part in many local events and has been a regular feature at the Barnes Music Festival.
