Adjudicator: Tasmin Little
The Barnes Young Musician Award, in partnership with Barnes Music Society, is a highly anticipated event in the Festival Programme attracting some of our most talented young instrumentalists. Since its inception in 2016 over 90 performances have reached the final adjudication. Our high profile adjudicators come from a variety of musical backgrounds and this year Tasmin Little CBE, recently retired from the international stage, will be giving the performers her valuable insight.
Leading up to the finals, instrumental masterclasses, this year led by members of the Aurora Orchestra, are supported by local schools with some of the participants advancing to the Final.
This final concert promises an afternoon of outstanding recitals and the new Barnes Young Musician of the Year will perform at the closing concert of the Festival on Saturday March 21st.
